The Corolla is a blast. In true Toyota form, it was indestructable. Serving years of TSD rally and daily commute, it then went on to a very competitive year in ProRally. Placing second in class in all but one of the rallies entered, it showed it's worth. It ran with the Japanesse spec 2TG 1.8L twin cam, 8-valve engine. That little engine with it's twin-dual throat Mikuni carbs was more then enough to motivate a 2500 lb car down the road. Provided you could get the carbs balanced. I sold the Corolla to a fellow Toyota rallier but, sad to say, it ended it's life as a wadded up ball of sheet metal.
